Opened in September 2025 inside Hotel Mystays Hakodate Station, HAKODATE OYSTERS 1854 is an oyster bar inspired by the year Hakodate opened its port to the world.
In 1854, Hakodate became one of Japan’s first international gateways, welcoming foreign ships, cultures, and dining traditions. That spirit of exchange lives on here.
Designed as a British pub for adults, the space pairs 19th-century Western atmosphere with Hokkaido’s premium seafood culture. Guests can enjoy oysters sourced from across Japan—from Hokkaido to Kyushu—paired with Champagne, wine, and craft beer.
Each oyster reflects the terroir of its sea, celebrating Hakodate’s history as a meeting point between Japan and the world.
